Ottawa BlackJacks Announce 2025 Training Camp Roster
The 14-player roster includes five returning members from the 2024 club

The Ottawa BlackJacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), Canada’s largest professional sports league, announced today the 14-player roster for the upcoming 2025 training camp which will be held from Saturday, May 10 to Friday, May 16 at Ashbury College and Collège La Cité.
In conjunction with the announcement of their 2025 training camp roster, the BlackJacks have also announced the signing of forwards Justin Jackson and Christian Rohlehr while Ankit Choudhary and Owen Kenney from the University of Ottawa (OUA) have been added as development players to comprise the remainder of the club’s roster for training camp.
Led by general manager, James Derouin and head coach, David DeAveiro, the 2025 BlackJacks training camp roster includes five returning players from the 2024 campaign (Adel, Lufile, Moore, Ndjock-Tadjoré and Thomas) while three players (Jackson, Rohlehr and Williams) have previous CEBL experience with other teams. Two players have participated in NBA or NBA Summer League games (Deng and Jackson) with Shakur Daniel (San Diego Clippers) and Isaih Moore (Greensboro Swarm) both playing in the NBA G League this past season.
Previously signed players Tevin Brown, Matt Coleman III, Nikola Djogo, Tyrrel Tate, Keevan Veinot and Zane Waterman have been placed on the club’s suspended list and will join the team upon the completion of their current international seasons.
“Coming into our 2025 training camp, there’s a real sense of anticipation,” said BlackJacks general manager James Derouin. “We’ve intentionally built a roster that balances the experience of our veteran players with the fresh perspective and athleticism of our young talent. The leadership we have with this group is crucial, and combined with the enthusiasm of our new coaching staff, we are eager to see how this dynamic team comes together here in Ottawa.”

The BlackJacks 2025 season starts at The Arena at TD Place on Sunday, May 18, at 3 p.m. against the defending CEBL champion, Niagara River Lions.
