2024-25: Played for his third different BNXT team in as many years when he suited up for Donar Groningen on Sept. 14 at LWD Aris Leeuwarden (73-64 win) … Currently sits fourth in league scoring by way of averaging 19.6 points per-game … Made seven appearances on the season before suffering an injury which has required him to miss the remainder of the year to this point … Started all seven games in which he played and scored at least 15 points in six of those seven games

 

2023-24: Spent his second BNXT season with the Port of Antwerp Giants where he ranked third on the team in assists (77) and fourth in points (343) … Made 40 appearances and recorded a season high 20 points on 11/17/23 at Limburg (82-68 win) … Helped his team advance to the championship of the Belgium bracket of the 2024 BNXT playoffs where the team eventually fell three games to one to Oostende in the league final … Participated in his first CEBL season with Ottawa and sat fourth on the BlackJacks in points per-game (12.2) and tied for fourth in rebounds per-game (3.2) … Recorded a personal CEBL single game high with 25 points while equaling his personal single game high in rebounds with nine on 7/29/24 vs. Brampton (116-104 win)


2022-23: Led LWD Aris Leeuwarden (BNXT) in scoring with 17.0 points per-game while also pacing the club in steals per-game (1.6) and minutes per-game (30.6) … Started 31 of 32 games on the year …. Fell one assist shy of a triple-double on 1/7/23 at Basketball Academie Limburg (73-62) when he recorded 15 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists … Established a new personal professional single game high in scoring when he registered 33 points going a perfect five-for-five from three-point distance on 2/18/23 vs. Donar Groningen (88-80 win)


2021-22: Won the 2022 CEBL Championship in his second season with Hamilton along with fellow Ottawa BlackJacks teammates Zane Waterman and Nikola Djogo … Posted eight multi-assist games and five double-digit scoring games … Became the Honey Badgers’ all-time franchise leader in games played with his 24th career contest in a Hamilton uniform on 7/14/22 vs. Scarborough (84-70 win) … Signed on 7/6/22 to play with LWD Aris Leeuwarden of the BNXT League in Belgium and the Netherlands for the 2022-23 season … Was invited to the Canadian Senior Men’s National Team FIBA AmeriCup Training Camp in Victoria, B.C. in late August


2020-21: Drafted in the first round of the 2021 CEBL USPORTS Draft by the Hamilton Honey Badgers and appeared in nine games for the club … Played at least 10 minutes of game time during six of those contests and averaged 7.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per-game … Scored a season-high 21 points while providing two rebounds, three assists and two steals at Guelph on 7/9/21

COLLEGE CAREER

2021-22: Was named as an AUS First Team All-Star for the second consecutive season … Led the Dalhousie Tigers (AUS) to their third consecutive AUS championship and was named AUS Championship Tournament MVP and a Championship All-Star … Earned the Dalhousie President’s Award recognizing the high academic achievements of students who have successfully been awarded major scholarships from the Tri-agency doctoral competitions … Registered 19.8 points and 6.0 rebounds per-game while being named Dalhousie’s Men’s Basketball Team MVP for the second consecutive year … Scored a personal collegiate single game game 30 points with eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in Dalhousie’s 98-72 victory vs. Victoria in the fifth place game of the USPORTS national championships on 4/3/22

2019-20: Recognized as an AUS First Team All-Star after averaging 15.6 points and 5.2 rebounds per-game … Became the first ever Dalhousie University player to be awarded the AUS Men’s Basketball MVP Award … Received numerous other accolades on the season including First Team All-Canadian, being named to the U SPORTS Tournament All-Star Team, AUS Championship Tournament All-Star, Dalhousie Male Athlete of the Year and the Dalhousie Men’s Basketball Team MVP … Ranked fifth in USPORTS in steals per-game (2.3) and sixth in assists per-game (5.5) … Helped lead the team to a 19-1 record on the season as the team won a silver medal at the USPORTS Final 8 Championship falling to Carleton University 74-65 in the gold medal game


2018-19: Led the team in total assists (70) during his sophomore campaign while ranking ninth nationally in assists per-game (5.0) … Recorded double figures in scoring in all but three of his 14 games played …  Provided the first triple-double of his collegiate career (11 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) on 2/10/19 vs. UPEI (98-61 win) … Had his lone double-double on the season (11 points, 11 assists)  at Memorial (87-75 win) on 2/22/19 …  Helped the team capture their fourth conference title in the last five seasons by way of being named AUS Championship MVP


2017-18: Was named to the AUS All-Rookie Team after averaging 8.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in his freshman season for Dalhousie … Registered at least 10 points in seven of the 18 games in which he appeared … Started 14 contests on the season and saw his team win 11 of those games … Ranked second on the team in assists per-game (3.1) and third in steals per-game (1.2) and minutes per-game (26.2) … Helped Dalhousie to a regular season record of 16-4 on the year

PERSONNAL

Has a twin sister, Jayda Veinot, who played on the women’s basketball teams at both Acadia University (2018-22) and the University of New Brunswick (2022-24) winning the AUS Female Athlete of the Year Award for UNB in 2023-24 … His father, Kevin Veinot, was an all-star at Acadia and was one of the key players on the 1987-88 Acadia team that lost in the national final  … Kevin coached Keevan's high school team to a provincial title and continued to coach his son as an assistant coach at  Dalhousie University … His mother, Jennifer Hale, was a two-time provincial high school champion at Cobequid Education Centre in Truro and an AUAA MVP at the University of New Brunswick and coached Jayda to a high school championship at Horton High School the same year Keevan's team won provincials in 2016

The Ottawa BlackJacks of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Tuesday the signing of Canadian Guard Keevan Veinot for the upcoming 2024 CEBL season. A six-foot-four guard from Port Williams, Nova Scotia, Veinot averaged 11.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, and 22.8 minutes in 87 professional games played in Canada, in Belgium, and in the Netherlands. Veinot is currently wrapping up his 2023-24 season with the Port of Antwerp Giants in BNXT, the highest professional basketball league in Belgium and the Netherlands. Across 25 games played, he has maintained an average of 8.9 points. On November 17 against Limburg United, Veinot scored a season-high 20 points, including two three-pointers, and contributing two rebounds, five assists, and four steals. In the preceding season, he played for LWD Aris Leeuwarden in the same league, where he averaged 17.0 points per game. One of his standout performances occurred on February 18 against Donar Groningen, where he scored a season-high 33 points, hitting all five of his three-point attempts and going four-for-four from the free-throw line. Veinot, selected in the first round by the Honey Badgers in the 2021 CEBL U SPORTS Draft, tipped off his professional basketball journey in the CEBL. Returning for a second season with the Honey Badgers in 2022, he averaged 6.2 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists over 21 games. He posted eight multi-assist games and five double-digit scoring games. With a decorated collegiate career, Veinot represented Dalhousie University from 2017 to 2022, accumulating numerous accolades. These include being named Atlantic University Sports (AUS) First Team All-Star in 2019-20 and 2021-22, First Team All-Canadian in 2019-20, and AUS All Rookie Team in 2017-18, among others. In 2019-20, he secured the AUS Men’s Basketball MVP, a first in Dalhousie University's history. He led his team in scoring average (15.6), minutes played (30.3), rebounding (5.2), assists (5.5), and steals (2.3) that season. Veinot's basketball roots run deep in his family.
